Hillside Research was founded in 1982 to provide specialized recruiting services to discriminating researchers nationwide. The firm offers a highly personalized approach, involving researchers, field directors, and when appropriate, clients, each and every step of the way.

We typically recruit at the senior manager and executive level. With the dramatic increase in research projects, securing them has become harder than ever. However, we maintain close working relationships with articulate, knowledgeable managers throughout the United States — many of whom will only consider projects presented by us.

We can recruit respondents from a wide variety of B2B categories including computer hardware and software, networking and telecommunications, e-business application and platforms, biotechnology, business services, financial services, healthcare, transportation and logistics, education services and distribution channels.

We work from either client-supplied lists or from both established databases and extensive web searches. Projects range from just a few high-level phone interviews to 100 respondents for focus groups in multiple cities. And where required we can provide field direction and coordination services, such as incentive distribution and facilities selection.

We typically work from a respondent screener supplied by the research firm, although we can provide one when required. From there we develop a target list of respondents and begin our outreach to them. Finally, we like to receive feedback from the moderator on the respondents as it helps us ensure that our selections remain at the highest level of quality possible.

But what truly sets us apart is our experience and professional backgrounds. Patricia Agush founded the firm and does all of the direct recruiting. Prior to starting Hillside Research, she ran a major inside sales organization for a software company. Before that she held a number of customer-facing positions at large technology firms.
