HILLSIDE RESEARCH

Privacy, plainly.

Your information helps me send the brief or respond to your property question.

Updated October 23, 2026.

What is collected

When you subscribe, I collect your email address, subscription status, signup date, and basic delivery information. After signup, you can answer whether you are looking to acquire or lease industrial space in NJ within six months. An unanswered survey stays unanswered. If you arrive from a property record, its ID can accompany your signup.

A property-research request collects your name, email, role, property address and municipality, your original question and decision, requested analysis, and any property ID, parcel, timing, financial or contextual information you choose to supply. It also collects optional discovery information and the article linked to your request. The hosting provider may process technical request data, including your IP address, to operate the site and limit abuse.

How your information is used

I use your email to send Hillside Industrial Brief, its welcome message, and necessary subscription messages. I don’t sell subscriber email addresses.

If you answer Yes to the survey, I receive an email notification and may follow up about your property decision and potential consulting work. You can book a strategy call without subscribing to the newsletter.

I use research requests to evaluate scope, respond to your question, and maintain a private inquiry and project register. Your email and any supplied property ID are also kept as a consulting contact in Resend. A request does not subscribe you to the newsletter or change an existing unsubscribe preference. Requests are delivered to my inbox and kept with the research correspondence; ask me about deletion or correction. Please do not submit confidential documents through this form.

Service providers

Netlify hosts this website. Resend stores newsletter and consulting contacts, survey intent and available property IDs, and delivers newsletter email and lead notifications. Google Workspace receives my lead and research-request email. These providers process information as needed to provide their services. Newsletter delivery and engagement information may be available through Resend.

Consulting payments

After we agree on a research scope, you can pay through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Stripe collects the billing details and payment information you enter; this website does not receive your full card details. Stripe keeps payment and subscription records. Hillside keeps private payment-event receipts in Netlify storage containing Stripe references, the package and scope references, payment state, amounts, and event dates. These receipts contain no card details or email addresses. Written scopes and acceptance correspondence are retained separately with the project records.

Proposal links contain an expiring signed reference to the scope, with no customer email or property address. Payment-status pages confirm the payment state without displaying billing details. Optional analytics omit query strings, proposal tokens, and Stripe session IDs. Stripe’s billing portal verifies your email before granting access. See Stripe’s privacy notice.

Strategy calls and video

The strategy call page loads Calendly so you can view availability and book a meeting. Calendly receives technical request information and the booking details you provide. When you reach the page immediately after answering Yes, your signup email can prefill Calendly’s email field. That prefill stays in page memory, expires after 30 minutes, and is not saved to browser storage or added to this website’s URL.

When an introductory video is available, the page embeds it using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. YouTube receives request information when that player loads and processes playback interactions. Calendly and YouTube may provide their own privacy and cookie controls. See Calendly’s privacy notice and Google’s privacy notice.

The county graphic

The county graphic uses boundaries stored with this website and dated aggregate research totals. It does not load third-party map tiles or request your device’s location.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe using the link in any issue. Previous unsubscribe preferences are preserved. To ask about your information or request deletion, reply to an email from Hillside Research or email keenan@hillsideresearch.com.

Cookies and analytics

Optional Google Analytics, when configured, loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures page visits, research-request steps and successful submissions, confirmed newsletter signup success by form placement, completed Yes answers, and strategy call page visits and bookings confirmed by the Calendly embed. Preview signups, existing subscribers and failed attempts do not count as new signup conversions. Analytics does not receive your name, email address, property details, questions, financial inputs, qualification token, or Calendly invitee details. Your intake answers stay in page memory while you move between steps; they are not saved in your browser and are lost if you reload or leave the page. Page URLs are limited to known routes and omit query strings. Advertising features are disabled.

With analytics permission, this browser also remembers the first and most recent notebook article you read for up to 30 days. Those article names can accompany your research request. Without permission, the form still works and can include the article whose request link you followed. Attribution is incomplete and does not prove how you originally discovered Hillside.

You can decline optional analytics or change your choice using Analytics settings below. Withdrawing permission clears Hillside’s stored article history and accessible Google Analytics cookies. The browser remembers your preference locally. Google Analytics processes consented measurement data; search services can separately provide aggregate search and citation reports.
